The Places I've Been I'll Never Be Again
This is a roving art installation and performance piece. In 2010, my husband and I bought house and our experiment in domestic living began. This work is our escape route. Over the course of summer 2012, we will be roving the country side experimenting with the nomadic lifestyle. These installations are my anchors to that domestic space, a physical talisman representing that abandoned residential space. With each new place, each new installation, each new performance, these sculptures break, re-form, and decompose, losing their grip on the material world as I relinquish my grip on the notion of "home" as a stationary place.
